Georgia Southern University student Alex Keen, 21, was found dead yesterday

around 12 p.m. in his apartment in Copper Beech Townhomes, according to an

incident report from the Statesboro Police Department.

At this time, the cause of death has not been confirmed. A gun was found at the

scene, according to the report.

The case has since been turned over to the Criminal Investigation Bureau for further

review. At this time, SPD is not releasing further information.

Keen was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. His brothers hosted a candlelight

vigil last night in his honor.

Copper Beech Townhomes plans to release a statement at a later time today.
