Volleyball comes up short against Furman

The Georgia Southern University volleyball team failed to defeat Furman University a second time in a 3-1 (25-21, 25-15, 22-25, 25-21) upset.

The Eagles took an early 9-5 lead in the first set before Furman battled to bring it to 9-8.  Multiple kills from Furman allowed the team to take the set win 25-21.

With Furman in the lead 2-0 after the second set, the Eagles had a 5-2 run to close the third set and bring the score to 2-1.

The Eagles took an early lead in the fourth set, but failed to come through when the Paladins used a 7-0 run to take the lead and ultimately defeat the eagles.
