After falling to Furman University for the second time this season Friday, the Georgia Southern University volleyball team responded with a resounding 3-0 victory over Wofford College today.

Senior outside hitter Nicole Jeschelnik led the Eagles’ offensive attack with 12 kills. Sophomore Katie Bange and Junior middle Kym Coley chipped in with nine and eight kills, respectively.

After the Eagles won the first set 25-22, they continued to apply pressure in the second set by jumping out to an 8-2 lead. The run was too much for the Terriers to recover from, losing the second set 25-17.

GSU continued the momentum through the rest of the match by capturing the third set by a score of 25-21, sealing the swift victory.

The Eagles will continue their four-match road trip with a Tuesday matchup against The Citadel at 6 p.m.
