The Georgia Southern University volleyball team defeated The Citadel 3-0 and achieved the second consecutive victory in straight sets.

Sophomore outside hitter Christina Vereb had a career night, matching her personal best of 15 kills and adding a career-high 10 digs.

Sophomore right side Katie Bange fed off Vereb’s success and also had a career high with 15 kills.

With the victory, the Eagles improve to 23-4 and remain on top of the Southern Conference standings with a conference record of 11-2.

The Eagles will play their final road conference match against Davidson College on Nov. 9 before returning to Hanner Fieldhouse for two home matches to finish the regular season.
