In a close 3-2 victory, the Georgia Southern University women’s soccer  team triumphed over The Citadel, to improve to 2-2-1 in the Southern Conference.

Three different Eagles recorded a goal in the match.

GSU recorded the first goal of the match, as the team went in to halftime with a 1-0 lead.

The teams traded goals back and forth in the second half until GSU prevailed late in the half.

The Eagles have a short break and return to play Friday at Eagle Field 7 p.m.
