Dear Editor,

Today while dining in Lakeside I kept seeing people looking into the lake in hopes of seeing turtles and then seeing their faces of happiness quickly turn ashen with shock and horror. Upon further investigation I soon realized the culprit; there was a large net trap near the bridge filled with dead turtles. The lake that is usually teeming with beautiful reptiles has had its population cut down to a mere ten or so turtles. I hope something is done about this soon before more turtles fall victim to this tragedy so that future generations can enjoy the turtles as much as I do.
