Georgia Southern University’s Night of Champions will be held on Aug. 31 the football season opener against Savannah State University.

The goal of Night of Champions is to recognize former GSU teams and partner them with current GSU student-athletes and conference championship teams from the 2012-2013 season.

The football team will be recognized for winning back-to-back Southern Conference Championships, along with the 1993 team that won GSU’s first SoCon football title in the program’s history.

The 2012 women’s soccer team, the 2012 volleyball team, and the 2013 softball team, who all won SoCon titles last season, will also be recognized.

The 2013 softball team will be partnered with the 1996 softball team, who won the first SoCon softball title in the program’s history.

All former student-athletes who played on any of the teams being honored can reserve a complimentary ticket to the Night of Champions event by contacting Matthew Herman at 912-478-1500 or GSUNightOfChampions@gmail.com.
