Hess named All-Tournament

The Georgia Southern University baseball team saw senior pitcher Justin Hess earn the honor of being named to the Southern Conference All-Tournament Team for the second year in a row.

Hess is the only player from GSU to make the team this year and he did it by twirling 11 scoreless innings in two appearances.

Hess made a statement in the first game of the tournament when he tossed a complete-game shutout against the College of Charleston for the first time in his career.

The pride of Panama City, Florida put up some impressive numbers from the mound with 13 strikeouts compared to just two walks.  He held opponents to a measly .135 batting average.
