Citadel silences Eagles

A rainy day in Statesboro, summed up the game for the Georgia Southern University baseball team as they lost 8-2 to The Citadel.

The Eagles struggled throughout the game offensively. GSU was held scoreless until the seventh inning, as they barely avoided a third-straight shutout to the Bulldogs.

Both of the Eagles’ runs were unearned.

The Bulldogs’ offense mustered up nine hits in comparison to five hits for the Eagles.

GSU will get back at it on Tuesday versus Mercer University beginning at 6 p.m.
