Georgia Southern University’s  golf team is currently sitting in 10th place at the Gary Koch Invitational in Tampa, Florida heading into round three.

Sophomore Scott Wolfes along with junior Will Evans lead the Eagles posting 147 thus far. Junior Hayden Anderson is two strokes behind with a 149 after round two.

The Eagles (+17) are far out of reach of first place Florida State (-21) but they have rallied back in the third round in several tournaments this season, including their comeback that earned them first place finish at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate back in February.

“We got off to a rough start in the first round and never really got any momentum going today,” Coach Larry Mays said in a news release. “We have been a good final-round team this season and need a good one

tomorrow.”

The Eagles will look to keep the third round magic going in their last invitational before they host the Southern Conference Championships on April 21-23.
