Tomorrow, fans will have a chance to break a Guinness World Record for the most people wearing their sunglasses at night at Georgia Southern University baseball game against The Citadel.

The current record sits at 1,648 people. In the fifth inning of the game, fans will be asked to put on the sunglasses they have been given in attempt to break the record.

Sunglasses will be given out but fans are also encouraged to bring their own. Vision Works and Dr. Horace Deal of Professional Eye Care of Statesboro will sponsor the event.

The record for attendance at J.I. Clements Stadium was set February of last year when 3,258 fans showed up to cheer on the Eagles against the Georgia Institute of Technology. In 2012, GSU averaged 1,298 in attendance per home game, which ranked 47th in the nation for NCAA Division I ballparks.
