Eagles end streak with blowout win

After struggling offensively and dropping eight games in a row, the Georgia Southern University baseball team defeated Elon University by double digits in a 15-4 win.

The Eagles matched their run total with 15 hits and also got on base drawing nine walks.

All 15 of the Eagles’ runs came in the first five innings, with the final six coming in the fifth inning.

Senior pitcher Justin Hess (4-4) recorded the win with a season-high 10 strikeouts allowing two runs on six hits.

The Eagles can seal the deal with a win tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at J.I. Clements Stadium.
