Students gathered around the bar, crammed into booths and spilled onto the patio like usual at last night’s appearance from V.I.C. at Rum Runners in College Plaza.

Last night V.I.C. performed at Rum Runners as the first in a series of performers coming this semester.  Rum Runners organizes guest performers every spring.

“All my friends were talking about it,” Casey Mitchell, senior information systems major, said.

Close to midnight the DJ got the crowd warmed up as V.I.C prepared to come on stage and people began to gravitate closer to Rum Runners’ Plantation Room.

“I didn’t even know they were here tonight. I only know one of his songs, but it was still a nice surprise,” Scott Jassen, alumnae in town for a conference, said.

A bar brawl temporarily grabbed everyone’s attention minutes before the show started, but was quickly broken up by the bouncers.

V.I.C and his crew started the performance by free-style rapping popular hits like 2Chainz “No Lie” and even threw in the “Harlem Shake.”

Morgan McCarthy, sophomore business major said she was hoping to hear his latest hit “Twerk It.”

V.I.C ended the show with his biggest hits “Wobble” and “Get Silly.”
