‘Empower PR’ conference to be held tomorrow

Georgia Southern University’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter will host the Empower PR conference at the Averitt Center for Arts and the E-Zone Saturday March 9.

Empower PR will focus on how the Generation Y workforce can uplift the profession and provide tips on how to succeed in the real world of public relations, networking opportunities and resume critiques, according to the news release.

This year’s conference will also host keynote speaker GSU public relations graduate, Charlotte Parish-Wood and will also feature a fashion show that concentrates on the appropriate attire for interviews and other professional occasions.

The conference is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. in the Averitt Center and will provide break out sessions hosted in both the Averitt Center and E-Zone in downtown Statesboro.

Cost of attendance is $5 for members, $10 for non-members and $15 for professionals or faculty. Registration is available online now. All majors are encouraged to attend.
