The Georgia Southern University department of writing and linguistics is hosting the first-ever Albanian delegation of students and two prominent Albanian lawyers this week.

These delegates are hosting a research and writing workshop that lasts through March 1.  The workshop is meant to broaden Albanian students’ educational experience, as well as their perspective on political and social science, public policy, international relations theory and law, according to the GSU news release.

The Albanian Center for Public Policy, Political Science and Law sponsored 10 Albanian students to send to GSU in order to expand their educational experience and gain the U.S. perspective on political and social science, public policy, international relations theory and law.

During their time at GSU, the Albanian students are attending political science, business, international studies and writing and linguistics classes. In addition, they are also participating in various activities both at the university and in the community, according to the news release.

With these programs, organizers hope to help the Albanian students improve lives and develop resources and infrastructure in their home country.
