Junior forward Eric Ferguson continued his stellar play after being named Southern Conference player of the month posting 22 points and 13 rebounds leading the Eagles in both categories.

Senior guard C.J. Reed and junior guard Tre Bussey struggled to shoot from the field combining to make only six of their 24 attempted shots and scoring 12 points each.

GSU trailed 34-28 at the half but mounted a surge in the closing minutes of the game when Ferguson hit a jumper and a free throw to bring the Eagles within one with a little more than a minute to go.

Louisme converted a three-point play and the Aggies never looked back.

GSU will begin SoCon play when they matchup at Wofford College next Saturday Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. in Spartanburg.
