The Georgia Southern University Office of Orientation and Parent Programs will host two on-campus Spring Family Weekends on Feb. 23 during a men’s basketball game and March 9 during a baseball game.

GSU parents are invited to attend the men’s basketball home game against Furman University. The game will begin at 7:00 p.m., but the Student Eagle Club will present a free tailgate for families starting at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets to the game will be on sale for $5 for Family Weekend attendees, and students will be able to get in for free with their Eagle ID.

Families will also be invited to the baseball game against Southern Conference foe Wofford College on March 9 at J.I. Clements Stadium. This game’s package costs $10 per guest and includes a game ticket and a concession pass for a hot dog, popcorn and drink.

Assistant Director of Admissions, Orientation and Parent Programs Erin Campbell said in a news release, “We are very excited to provide these Spring Family Weekends and welcome parents back to campus to visit their student.”
