Four Georgia Southern University Eagles have been named All-Americans by the Sports Network/Fathead.com and College Sports Madness.

Senior defensive tackle Brent Russell and sophomore offensive lineman Garrett Frye were selected to the Sports Network/Fathead.com FCS All-American Team, while junior offensive tackle Dorian Byrd and senior Dion DuBose were selected to the College Sports Madness FCS All-American Team.

Russell repeated as a first team selection by the Sports Network, making him a three-year All-American. The senior defensive-tackle has had 39 stops, 7.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks in the season. Russell is also currently tied for the school’s career sacks record.

College Sports Madness selected DuBose to his first All-American team. DuBose, a third team selection, is second on the team with 9.0 tackles and 5.5 sacks this season.

Byrd and Frye were named third team selections by College Sports Madness and the Sports Network, respectively. The two have helped the Eagles’ offense lead the nation in rushing offense with 409.2 yards per game, which ranks second all-time in school history.
