Georgia Southern University men’s basketball team came up short losing 55-50 in what was almost a great comeback against Elon University, causing GSU’s record to fall to 2-4.

After being down 51-38 with four minutes and 40 seconds to go, the Eagles mounted a surge. The Eagle cut the lead to 53-48 after back-to-back three pointers by Reed and Eric Ferguson.
Ferguson connected on one of two free throws and the lead was down to three (53-50) with 40 seconds left in the game.
