With the stress of midterms coming upon students, the Counseling Center may be the breath of fresh air that gets students through this stressful time. Services range from 12 free sessions of individual therapy per academic year to free group sessions and workshops.

There is a relaxation room that can be used anytime no appointment necessary. Spend time in the reclining massage chair and listen to soothing music or watch a movie. The room is open in 30 minute intervals so you can stop in between classes. There are also a number of online resources available on their website.

Jennifer Hendricks, pre-doctoral intern at the Counseling Center, said “If we can’t help a student we do not turn them away. There is a case manager on staff that will meet with students and finding resources for them in the community connecting them with therapists, doctors, food banks even if that’s what they need.”
