The Student Organization fair is at the rotunda today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with many organizations to learn about.
Eagle’s Cricket Club
Cricket was founded in the 11th Century in England which was played by factory workers. Today, 106 countries play this game. “It’s a gentleman’s game,” Ashwini Yadav, senior multimedia film and production major, said. However, anyone can join. They practice Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the RAC’s north soccer field.
Tennis practices are Monday thru Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hanner Field House.
They have two tournaments coming up, one next weekend at Armstrong and one at the end of February at Auburn. “It’s a chance for many colleges to get together,” the treasurer of Tennis Club, Danielle Clark, junior Exercise Science major, said. Anyone can come to play, doesn’t matter what your skill level.”
D.I.M.E.S Fashion Organization
D.I.M.E.S Fashion Organization is a chance to get involved with Georgia Southern creatively with modeling, styling, photography, productions and cosmetology. They host different events on campus. For example, in the fall, they host a show based off of domestic violence. Their spring show is coming up on April 4th. “You don’t have to be a fashion major to join,” Leslie Grinnage, senior fashion merchandising major, said. “If you’re interested with fashion itself or modeling or any other categories that we do have, you can join.”
