The wellness center is hosting a block party today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The block party consists of Zumba, basketball, hula-hoop, jump roping and prizes. Students are lining up outside the university bookstore to participate in many of the activities that are offered. When going to certain stations, many prizes are provided such as t-shirts, water bottles and bags. The goal of this block party is to get students to live an easier healthier life.

“ The Wellness Center is all about giving you advice to eat right,” Ashley Rockwell, senior exercise science major, said.

The Wellness Center, RAC, Health Services and the Department of Health and Kinesiology have put together many events to help students be more active on campus.

“We really want Georgia Southern University to be known as one of the healthiest campuses in the state of Georgia that our students go to,” Dr. Bridget Melton, Department of Health and Kinesiology, said.

Make sure to check out these events to live a healthier life.
