Early morning gunfire reported on Armstrong’s campus

By Zach Logan, News Editor

Both the Armstrong Police Department and the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department are investigating after a shot was fired inside Compass Point early Friday morning.

According to the university, at 3:05 a.m. someone entered an apartment in the 8000 Building of Compass Point and fired one shot. No one was injured.

Armstrong Police say several persons of interest are being interviewed and it does not look like the incident was from a random shooter.

There is no longer a threat on campus. Friday’s classes will be held as normal and the university will operate under regular business hours.
