President Bleicken, members of Armstrong’s Student Veterans of America, Veterans Affairs, faculty and students marched in the Veteran’s Day Parade on Friday, Nov. 11. A big event, the parade offers students and other members of the community a chance to celebrate and thank the 24,000 veterans that reside in Chatham county. On Armstrong’s campus alone, there are roughly 1,000 military-affiliated students.

President Bleicken was marked honorary marshal of the parade, the first woman and person with no military background to be given that honor.

For 2017, Armstrong was ranked number 4 by Military Times in the “Best for Vets” list of top 4 year schools in the United States. In 2016, Armstrong was ranked as number 7.
