Men’s basketball will be traveling to Louisiana to continue conference play for the season as they take on UL Lafayette Wednesday.

The last time the two teams met the Ragin’ Cajuns secured the win over the Eagles by just two points as GS was bested at home 85-87.

This time the Eagles are ready for redemption and look to snap their loss streak of one and continue to improve their conference record of 5-4.

Overall the Eagles sit 13-9 and show impressive statistics as they average 49.7 percent shooting from the floor as well as averaging 35.9 rebounds per game.

One Eagle to be on the lookout for is junior forward Isaiah Crawley as the transfer student is proving himself to be a valuable addition to the Eagle’s roster. Crawley has logged 135 total points in the 290 minutes he’s played this 2018-19 season as well as collecting a field goal percentage of 57.6.

Red-shirt guard Quan Jackson is another Eagle who’s on the rise as he led GS previously against Georgia State with 20 points during the game, adding to his total of 314 points in 626 minutes of play.

UL Lafayette currently sits at 13-9 overall- matching the Eagles but sits at 4-5 in the conference. As a team the Ragin’ Cajuns are on a two-loss slump as they’re only shooting 44.5 percent from the floor and shooting 34.9 percent on three-pointers.

Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. Wednesday in Lafayette and the match will be streamed on ESPN+.
