National Signing Day is Feb. 6 which leaves the Eagles less than a month to make their mark on the 2019 football recruiting class. After the early signing day in December, Georgia Southern ranks sixth in Sun Belt standings compared to finishing second in 2018.
GS had 16 prospects sign early with six of the signees already enrolled in classes this spring semester. The Eagles also had Oklahoma State running back transfer J.D. King enroll for spring 2019, though he won’t be eligible for 2019, and Savannah State graduate transfer defensive back Donald Rutledge will be available for the 2019 season.
There are also three GS commits who have yet to sign — three-star wide receiver Milton Jackson and two-star offensive tackles Caelan Williams and Daniel King.
But coming off a historic season, many fans and analysts expect GS’ recruiting class to mirror the on-field success.
There are still nine prospects that are uncommitted and are high on the radar for the Eagles.

This four-star defensive end has 15 FBS offers including Arizona State, Louisville and Washington State. Boykin has had official visits at UL and Miami and his top three interests are UL, UM and Colorado State. He has also unofficially visited Georgia Tech. With eight Power 5 offers, it’s unlikely Boykin chooses GS, but he’s still a high choice for the Eagles. There are currently nine defensive ends on the 2019 GS roster.

There are currently two kickers on the 2019 GS roster.
