Wilcox picked up by Indianapolis Colts

Former Georgia Southern safety J.J. Wilcox was picked up by the Indianapolis Colts Tuesday, first reported by Ian Rapoport.

Wilcox was a third round draft pick by Dallas in 2013 where he would play with the Cowboys for four seasons. The safety from Cairo, Georgia has since had stints with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Pittsburgh Steelers and most recently the New York Jets.

Playing in 75 career games, Wilcox has recorded 227 tackles, six interceptions and 16 passes defended.

Indianapolis is set to host the New York Giants at 1 Sunday.
