Holi Festival is an ancient Hindu festival, also known as “festival of love”, “festival of colors” or “festival of spring”.
To celebrate this, the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) and the Office of International Students Admissions (OISA) hosted the event on both campuses of Georgia Southern University.
On Armstrong campus, the event was celebrated on the Mar. 25 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., at the Residential Plaza.
Students received a giveaway package of presents which includes: a t-shirt, color bags and some desserts. In the bag, there was also a paper of information about the festival for students to learn about another culture.
There was also an elephant-shaped piece of wood included in the bag for recipients to freely use their creative juices decorating it with colors.
