Georgia Southern has been selected to play in their second bowl game in history as they will be travelling to Montgomery, Alabama for the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl, according to multiple sources.

The Eagles made their first bowl appearance in 2015 where they claimed a 58-27 victory over Bowling Green in the GoDaddy Bowl but haven’t been bowl eligible since.

After two consecutive losing seasons during the Tyson Summers era, the 2018 season has been the first that the Eagles have been eligible for a bowl game since their first appearance after new Head Coach Chad Lunsford has led GS to a 9-3 season.

The Eagles are going bowling Dec. 15 in the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl and will face a team from the Mid-American Conference. The game will take place at 5:30 p.m. Eastern and be streamed on ESPN.
