Fridays Downtown: BoroFest

This past Friday, Vine Street hosted “BoroFest”. Bands like “Hip-Oh!” were featured around downtown and had crowds listening to their preformace.
There was something for everyone. The kid’s zone was filled with rock-climbing walls, bounce houses, face paint, balloon animals, mechanical bull rides, and more!
If you’ve been to any downtown event in Statesboro, you’ve seen this big guy with his owners selling snow cones at Big Dog Snow Cones!
Even Matted Ox Axe Throwing had their truck open for axe throwing! Kids and adults threw axes at the wall all night!
Vendors lined Vine Street selling clothes, candles, doormats, honey, flowers, and more.
Registration was open for a corn-hole tournament and several teams competed for an unknown prize.
Whether you were interested in local honey, decorative ornaments, or candles, there was a booth for it all.
Happy Chance Flower Farm was there selling beautiful flowers with no pesticides!
If bright colored flowers wasn’t your thing, there was plenty of greenery to go around!
If the cornhole, live music, food, kid’s activities, and vendors still weren’t fun for you, there was also a car show!
The car show featured, old cars, new cars, and even motorcycles!
Could there really be a car show without at least one set of dice on the mirror?
There were many people who worked hard to put all of this together. They even sold these awesome t-shirts at one tent!
If you missed BoroFest, you can catch a lot of the same vendors on the “First Friday Downtown” of each month! See you in August for the pep rally!
