Georgia Southern University has launched a new point based rewards program for the University Store and University Store Paulson.

The new program is called the U Count Rewards Program and it rewards members with points for every purchase they make at university stores.

For every dollar a rewards member spends both in person and online, they will receive one point. For every 100 points earned is equal to a $2 discount that can be used towards any purchases at either university store.

Textbook purchases count towards points and the discount can be used on textbooks.

The program was designed to reward loyal customers of the university stores said Carlita Slatky, director of the University Store.

“We have some frequent shoppers that we want to reward for their loyalty in choosing us for textbooks and Georgia Southern gear,” Slatky said. “We also want to invite others to shop with us more often. Everyone can benefit from this program every single time they shop at he University Store.”

There are restrictions on what the discount can be used on though.

Restrictions include:

  • Parking Passes
  • Event Tickets
  • Rental Late Fees
  • Rental Non-return/Damaged Fees
  • MOWR Non-return/Damaged Fees
  • Honors Late Fees
  • Honors Non-return/Damaged Fees
  • Shipping Charges
  • University Store Gift Cards
  • Sales Tax

The program is open to anyone, not just students.

Anyone can enroll in the program by providing their Eagle ID or phone number at the University Store or by updating their customer account on the University Store website.
