On Saturday at the Nessmith-Lane Performing Arts Center, the 78th Miss Georgia Southern pageant took place.
There were 11 contestants who are currently students at Georgia Southern. Each contestant performed a talent to show off their skills, a health and fitness speech, evening wear to show off their gown and an on-stage question. Each was scored by 6 judges to see who would be crowned.
“I feel good, it was really nice to get to spend so much time with all of the girls, step outside my comfort zone and do something that I never thought I would do,” said contestant Victoria Resto.
Preparation for the competition took months to prepare for and last year’s Miss Georgia Southern, Megan Wright, got to announce the contestants for the show. Gracie Allen was crowned 2025 Miss Georgia Southern, the first runner up was Kaitlyn Tanner and the second runner up was Miriam Marlin.
