As a student living away from home, finding on-campus employment is an opportunity for both personal and professional growth. Balancing academics and employment can be challenging, but it gives valuable work experience and helps build a strong resume. Working with the campus community helps in developing networking skills, time management skills, and a sense of commitment.
Finding an on-campus job is way easier than many might think. This is the student employment site. It is also located on the MyGeorgiaSouthern Portal. This link will direct you to the page named ‘Student Employment Center’. The first step to take is to click on Career Site and either log in or make a new account, depending on whether you are a first-time user.
Once an account is created, there are a number of jobs listed and can be sorted using the filters (Campus/Part Time/Full Time). For all the undergraduates, jobs must be selected from one of the options– Student Assistant and Work Study Assistant (available to those who have work study authorization approved by Financial Aid).
Once you have chosen what job to apply for, look for all the documents that are required. Most of them require professional references (preferably a previous supervisor or a faculty member), a Cover letter and a Resumé.
Once an application is submitted, you will receive an email giving you a confirmation number. Status can be checked by logging into the Student Employment Account.
Listed below are some examples of job opportunities for Fall 2025, along with their job number and deadlines to apply.
