STATESBORO—It’s not every day a band is born on the top floor of a dorm building. MAJOR PROBLEM, the mosh-metal band whose unique sound echoes through campus, got its start with just three members.
Billiam Kowalsky:
Meet Billiam Kowalsky, lead drummer and spokesperson for MAJOR PROBLEM. As a freshman civil engineering major, Kowalsky set out on a quest to build a band based on passion.
“Once school started, we were like, ‘hey, let’s start jamming out and stuff,’” said Kowalsky.
Daniel Robertson:
A freshman philosophy major, Daniel Robertson, serves as the lead guitarist.
“I started in fifth grade, but I didn’t really practice seriously till, like, about a year ago,” said Robertson.
He was the first to be recruited into MAJOR PROBLEM by Kowalsky.
Landon Klein:
Landon Klein, a freshman electrical engineering major, became MAJOR PROBLEM’s third debut member and resident bassist.
“I’ve been playing guitar for about seven years, but I started playing bass about four years ago,” said Klein.
Since their inception at the beginning of August, the band has performed a few gigs on and off campus.
This has earned them dozens of followers, new fans, and more than a few new members.
