Halloween Volunteer Extravaganza

Lindsay Futch

Statesboro has a variety of events for Halloween, however, most of these events need volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, here are some opportunities available.

Volunteer with the Haunted Forest

The Haunted Forest will take place from Oct. 24 – Oct. 31 at The Clubhouse. Sign up to scare haunted forest-goers here. Volunteers need to arrive 30 minutes prior to their assigned shift. Dress comfortably. Mask and costumes will be provided. All proceeds benefit the local Boys and Girls Club.

Volunteer with Trick or Treat at Mill Creek

Sign up to volunteer with Statesboro-Bulloch County Parks and Recreation at their annual Trick or Treat at Mill Creek on Oct. 27. There will be face-painting, bounce houses, hay rides, and more. Volunteers will be setting up and breaking down as well as helping work carnival games, inflatables and a candy trail. Email [email protected] to sign up.

Volunteer with Scare on the Square

The annual Scare on the Square event will take place on the square in downtown Statesboro on Oct. 28. Sign up here to help with various activities including a Haunted House or Hayride.

Volunteer with Teen Maze Challenge

The Teen Maze Challenge will be at the Nessmith-Lane Building on campus on Oct. 30 and Oct. 31. Teen Maze is an educational experience where all 8th grade students in Bulloch County will learn the consequences of poor decision making and the rewards for wise decisions. Sign up to volunteer here.

Volunteer with Mill Creek Elementary Fall Festival

Help with Mill Creek’s Fall Festival on Nov. 3 at Mill Creek Elementary School. Volunteers will assist with a variety of festival activities. Contact Laura Smiley at 912-678-2725 or [email protected] to sign up.
