The GS Athletic Department is one of the many organizations across the country working to provide aid in Hurricane Harvey relief. The athletic department is encouraging Eagle nation to donate at upcoming sporting events.

They are looking to receive donations during this seasons football, men’s soccer and women’s soccer home games up until October 4.

Though we can’t imagine what the city of Houston is experiencing, Eagle Nation is comprised of students from all over the U.S., so this cause hits home for several students, including our athletes being that some hail from the Houston Area.

Since money is not always a luxury option for students, the athletic department will also take donations of items needed to aid Harvey victims, such as:

– Bottled Water

– Canned Foods (pop-tops preferred)

– Diapers and pull-ups

– Toothbrushes, toothpaste, and toiletries packaged

– Men’s and women’s clothing and underwear

The athletic department will be driving around the tailgating parking lots during games to collect these donated items to ship off by October 5.

Items can also be dropped off any of your donations to the Bishop Alumni Center, during normal business hours, starting next Tuesday, Sept. 5.
