Georgia Southern University continues construction of its new Interdisciplinary Academic Building which sits in between the Carroll and the Information Technology buildings.

Since the unveiling of the building’s construction site in February of this year, the building has began to take shape.

The 110,000 square foot building will house the following majors:

  • Interior Design

  • International Studies

  • History

  • Child and Family Development

  • Fashion merchandising and apparel design

  • Foreign languages

  • Recreation nutrition of food science

Contractors work daily as students walk by on the pedestrium viewing the progress of the 33.6 million dollar building.

Unfortunately for this years GS graduates, the finished product still has about 13 months left to go according to Quincy Wilkerson, Bellklean contractor.

“I work on this project almost every week,” Wilkerson said. “It would be nice to see it finished sooner, but we will finish up the building early September 2018”
