Georgia Southern Athletics received penalties after a two year investigation of staff members who provided forbidden academic assistance.

The first incident involved a former assistant compliance director providing a football student-athlete with a flash drive containing completed assignments.
The second incident involved a former assistant director of student-athlete services who produced and turned in 10 extra credit assignments using two football student-athlete’s login information. According to the NCAA report, the students were not aware of the work being submitted.
