The new Student Health Services Center is expected to be finished and inaugurated in January 2016, interim president Dr. Jean Bartels announced at a welcome ceremony for Georgia Southern employees.
The expansion will allow the students to receive more specialized and intensive care. Physical therapy will be offered at the new building rather than having to go somewhere else to get treated for a physical injury. In addition, the counseling department and eye care will be located in the health center as well. Since it’s a two-story building, the second floor will be restricted entirely for women’s health. Other Services and type of insurance accepted will be expanded as well.
