Lady Eagles fall to ULL

The Georgia Southern Eagles women’s basketball team suffered their fourteenth consecutive loss to UL Lafayette 62-35 on Saturday, dropping their record to 1-17 in the conference and 4-23 overall for the season.

The Eagles had a rough night, shooting just 38 percent from the field, and turned the ball over 27 times.

Patrice Butler, Sierra Kirkland and Angel McGowan each scored a team high six points.

Keke Veal led the Cajuns with 20 points to go along with three rebounds, two assists and two steals. Kia Wildridge added 12 points and two steals.

The Eagles have two games left in the season. They will host UT Arlington next Thursday before closing out the season against Georgia State next Saturday.

Tip off for Thursday is at 5 p.m.
