Georgia Southern University will host “The Eight World Universities Forum” at the Coastal Georgia Center, 305 Fahm St. in downtown Savannah today and tomorrow.

This will be the first World Universities Forum (WUF) to be hosted in the United States. More than 30 countries will be represented at the international gathering of global scholars and policymakers to examine the role and future of the university in a changing world.

Devon Jensen, Ph.D., an interim associate dean of Georgia Southern’s Jack N. Averitt College of Graduate Studies, will be a speaker at the forum. Jensen is a member of WUF’s advisory board and has researched, taught and studied Higher Education Leadership topics for more than a decade.

“I am excited to have this international group of educators, scholars and leaders come to Savannah to explore and discuss the important higher education questions and challenges of our day,” Jensen said.
