Romney announces he’s not going to run in 2016

It appears that the third time will not be a charm for previous Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.

The former Republican nominee has just announced that he will not be running for president in the 2016 election during a conference call with supporters on today.

“After putting considerable thought into making another run for president, I’ve decided it is best to give other leaders in the party the opportunity to become our next nominee,” Romney said.

While Romney did not specifically endorse another potential Republican nominee, he is hopeful that a fresh face, who is not as well known as he, will have a better chance at defeating the Democratic nominee.
