Running back Matt Breida was named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week following Georgia Southern’s  28-6 victory over South Alabama. 

Breida, a sophomore from Brooksville, Fla., led Georgia Southern’s rushing attack with a career-best 187 rushing yards, including a 64-yard run, and two touchdowns.

The Eagles play App State Thursday night at 7:30 in Statesboro for Ga. Southern’s first ever. The game can be viewed on ESPNU.
