On Thursday, our women’s Eagles got soccer fans all around campus as they went on to start the season with a secured win against the UAB Blazers.
With a score of 2-0, the Eagles were able to set a foundation on their season with a positive standing and win their first season opener for the first time since 2019.
After a quiet first half, the Eagles were able to find a spark in the offense.
Early in the second half, a foot was found in Freshman Meredith Pugh, who hit her first goal to put some numbers on the board for the Eagles.
Following this week’s win, our Women’s Eagles soccer is looking really strong, with their next game against College of Charleston , the team is looking to secure the win and make high expectations for the season.
