After a year-long closure, Armstrong’s Memorial College Center (MCC) is set to reopen in two weeks, bringing a slew of new upgrades and facilities for students.
Situated above the Student Union, the MCC serves as a hub for various student organizations and offices. The center has been closed for the past year to accommodate $4.5 million in renovations.
“Thursday, Sept.14 is the date the offices will be moving back in, so I anticipate they will be unpacked and ready for business by Monday, Sept. 18” said Melanie Miller, Assistant Vice President of Student Success.
The units that will be moving back in include: “the Armstrong Union, Student Wellness and Health Promotions, Student Accessibility Resource Center, Multicultural Affairs, Student Government Association and Student Media.”
From this renovation, students can expect a new residence for the Tech Hub on the first floor across from the Starbucks.
On the second floor, the new offices will be equipped with “new, sleek furnishings”, and a study lounge.
