Recently, Georgia Southern officially opened up the Anthony P. Tippins family training facility.
The project cost over 12.3 million dollars and is seen as a big step for Georgia Southern and its athletic programs, benefitting all 17 NCAA sponsored programs especially football.
The facility features a 120 yard turf field, a 30 yard practice area and 20 foot perimeter. It also includes an advanced netting system and an interior height of 65 feet.
This week I got the chance to speak to football head coach Clay Helton at a press conference.
He agreed that Georgia Southern football has taken a step forward with the training facility being built and dominating against teams like UAB and Nebraska.
We’ll see what Georgia Southern athletics is expecting in the near future because it’ll be before you know it.
