Music, food, and entertainment were found at this year’s 34th annual Brooklet Peanut Festival.
Over 100 vendors could be found at this massive event selling anything from jewelry to home decor. Food offered included corn on the cob, shaved ice, and of course, peanuts.
“This is our third year doing it. It’s been pretty good. We just sell the green ones (peanuts) up here and then our stand right down the road in Brooklet sells the boiled ones,” said Jackson Smith with Sunrise Produce.
Over twenty thousand people were estimated to attend the festival this year. With crafts, games, and rides for the kids, this event attracted a variety of people looking for a fun experience in their community.
“This is our 4th or 5th year. So we’re having a great time. We love the caramel popcorn, and I really want some water and that’s readily available,” said attendee Donna Harper.
The event was free to attend and ran from 10am to 6pm.
