Georgia Southern Men’s Tennis’ Pierre Mouesca has been through a lot in years of playing tennis. He came to Statesboro all the way from France. Pierre started off playing tennis when he was four going on to be named regional champion many times in the Junior Circuit. He agreed it’s not easy to come to America to play tennis, and he says the biggest thing that separates him is the circle he has around him.
“Tennis is really tough because it’s individual as well,” said Mouesca. “My parents, they helped me a lot and the coaches I got during my time as well were really good.”
Pierre says that without comfortability, it’s hard to make it in sports. Last year in his first season as an Eagle he earned a 6-4 mark in doubles. Great performances earned him accomplishments like Sun Belt Player of the Week.
“A big part of that is about my team,” said Mouesca. “We have such a great energy and great atmosphere between this team it’s insane we’re all like brothers together.”
