To run a business is not easy. To do it while being a student is even more difficult. That is why it is important to take the time to appreciate them for all their hard work.

Pretty and Polished is the name of the nail business founded by Georgia Southern student, Amir Hill. Amir is currently a junior, but she started her business in February 2021 when she was just a freshman. She already had the supplies to do nails, and she saw an opportunity to earn some extra money and took it.

It took her a lot of trial and error to perfect her craft and since then, she has been able to grow her following through her social media accounts.

Running a business is not an easy task, and she has learned how to manage her time between being a student and running a business.

One thing she would tell her younger self is, ”Stick it out. It’s not going to be easy, but it helps build you.”

This advice holds true for any business and is an important part of becoming successful.
