With the NFL draft coming up some ex Eagles were putting in some off season work at Georgia Southern’s annual NFL pro day. About 15 former players stepped foot in Paulson Stadium for their last time to take on a day that they’ve been dreaming of.
NFL teams like the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Pittsburgh Steelers attended and after putting up great numbers players say now their main focus is staying ready.
“It’s gonna be a different regimen to everything because I’m not pro day training, I’m training for the next level,” said Shemar Bartholomew. “So it’s just a different regimen staying on top of everything, treatment and just being in the gym and staying up to shape with everything.”
Players showcased their athleticism doing things like the 40 yard dash, broad jump and cone drills.
A few locals also showed up to participate, like russell dandy after finishing last year at Eastern Illinois he feels good about his performance but still has work to put in.
“I couldn’t wish it no other way things are always set it stone for me and I feel like destiny is destiny.”
The NFL draft is in a few weeks, April 25- 27th and after putting in the work we’ll be watching to see who’s name gets called.
